Our goal is to provide high quality child care to our community and make every child feel loved and safe while under our care. Our Philosophy

At Grace Edgett Childhood Development Center, we believe that every child is unique and deserves a safe and nurturing environment in which to grow and learn. Our approach to childhood development is centered around building strong relationships with our students and their families, providing individualized attention, and fostering a love of learning. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Our History

In 1978, Erlanger Methodist Church decided to expand their educational facilities and provide a community program that would utilize the building throughout the week. As part of this outreach ministry, they proposed a child development center which was approved by the church and met Kentucky State Regulations. The Grace Edgett Child Development Center was named in memory of Grace Edgett, whose estate helped fund this ministry to children. GECDC is a non-profit organization and is fully self-supported through childcare fees. Erlanger Methodist Church is dedicated to the ministry of GECDC and recognizes it as an essential outreach for their congregation.

Health & Safety

At Grace Edgett Childhood Development Center, your child's health and safety is our top priority. We maintain a clean and sanitized environment, and our staff is trained in proper hygiene and illness prevention. We practice Safe Sanctuaries which is an overt expression in making congregations safe places where children, youth, and elders may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith. Erlanger Methodist Church and Grace Edgett Child Development Center have adopted policies to help protect children under our care.
